This scissor skills workbook for beginners is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers!
This fun cutting practice activity book for kids ages 3-5 begins with very simple, fat lines to cut along.
It follows a hierarchy progressing from lines, to curves, to zigzags, and eventually to cutting out fun shapes, animals, and objects. Letter tracing with handwriting lines (top, dotted-middle, bottom) is incorporated if your child is ready! Have them color and trace for extra practice as long as they are having fun!
TIPS
- Use high quality safety scissors to decrease frustration.
- Make sure left/right handed scissors are chosen correctly.
- Wrap electrical tape around the thumb hole so your child knows where to put their thumb.
- Remember the thumb should point up.
- Always supervise
